HENRY KERNS

Henry Kerns is an undergrad Graphic Designer from Louisville, KY focused on fashion design & publication design. Kerns' work references the color theory work of Josef Albers and explores the application of color combinations in his clothing and publications.

"Abstraction is real, probably more real than nature." -Josef Albers

Main sources of inspiration in Kerns' work are in the paintings of Jean-Michel Basquiat, and the photographs of William Eggleston. Photography is a core component to Kerns' work because of the compositional qualities it contains, echoing his design style.
